Why
I'm a long term member of the 'culturescape', what I mean by that is I just did what was expected. I left school with very little, I didn't let that hold me back and slowly made my way with a little luck and a few enjoyable bumps.
I'm a father of two sets of twins, a very challenging but rewarding way to have four kids. All four have grown up to be fantastic individuals and compared with me at their ages, have achieved far higher levels of education. All four have gone on to university and two have even completed masters degrees. I think I got eight CSE's from my time at school.
I aim to be around to see them grow old. If I think in terms of generations exceeding the previous, my challenge is to live longer than my parents. My Mum, as I write, is almost 87, having beaten cancer three times and showing no signs of slowing down yet.
I'm aiming to hit 100, but to do that I have to look after myself and that means in health, fitness, continual learning and enjoying my time here.
I hope you resonate with that and perhaps follow my journey.
Thank you.
My Vision
Some would say "I'm lucky", some would say "I'm mad", but now is time to enjoy living a different life.
After 40 years in the Automotive Industry, working up from apprentice to senior manager I decided it was time for a change. It is very rewarding managing teams, seeing what can be achieved and helping individuals achieve great things.
The long hours take their toll and some of the important things in life were missed but no more. Starting over after COVID lockdown and getting the full team back as fast as possible was an exciting challenge that needed to be completed.
Now it's time for achieving some of my personal goals in life because work became a heavy weight that needed to be laid down.
