How will I live to be 100 years? Enjoy fantastic joyful time with my family

Where to start! if I'm to live for 100 year health and fit.

I guess as we get older the body sends you massages that signal if I'm going to live to be 100 years old. It clear to me and I assume you those aches and pains we feel are the signal telling us it's time do something.

If you like me and have been living the normal working life for more than 40 year your likely considering the options. The main challenge we have is managing our time and working on the areas that will make the biggest impact or our goals.

My goal to live to be 100 and enjoy life because I'm healthy and fit.This lead me first to working out how much I need to live on, then take the plunge as this is the only way I personally would get the time.

Health - To live a longer life

The body is literally a power house! What I mean by that is it consumes what we put into it and then does amazing things. The challenge our body has is that in this fast life we live what we put in is not always so good for us. Don't get me wrong, a little of what we like can be very good for the soal. The balance is what we have to work on and that exactly what I needed to do.

So I was weighing in at 204 lbs and google tell me I should be between 144-176 lbs. Ooops some work to do here!

Don't assume what goes in comes out, the body has it's own store cupboard we call, FAT.

What to do?

Start to become an expert, if even in a small way by increasing knowledge of the subject. This can be easy without much is any expense by reading some books or blogs on healthy eating plans.

To live to be 100 year I need to eat better

I needed a kick start and was lucky enough to find Wildfit.

This is a 90 day programme with some bold statements

No more “I’ll do it someday” or starting a program and not completing it, WILDFIT 90 has been intentionally designed as a timed process to help you achieve significant results in 90 days (and in most cases, less!). This program is designed to create change in your life NOW.

After going through the programme and getting to the end i had lost 20 lbs.

This is not the objective the pregramme has, instead its mission is to give individuals a better understanding in their relationship with food.

They explain the 6 human hungers.

  • Nutritional
  • Thirst
  • Variety
  • Low blood sugar
  • Emotional
  • Empty stomach

There is a mindset element, Eric is a very good coach, the programme runs at a pace that makes sure you do the learning along with the changes in what you eat. Eating on the plan is set out in seasons with clear guidelines on what to eat and what not to eat. I stuck to the plan and can still today understand and when needed apply the principles again.

So the way forward for me is to balance, I enjoy what I want to eat and make sure I have a little of the fun in food. That allows me to think of eating as a good part of my life and not worry about the impact.

Fitness - To live a longer life

This has been the most difficult for me to achieve if I'm to live to be 100 years fitness is a battle in fight every day. With serveral signs that tell the story of how not to look after your body.

Both my knees at time quite literally stop me in my tracks. Joints creek and crack when moved and after many years with a computer mouse a wrist that aches.

The answer starts the same as health with a need to learn what when and how to move and strengthen. I'm no medical expert but there is clearly today a lot of focus on building strength in our bodies. This in turn provides support for all those joints that are ageing.

My learning has therefore been focused on my joints, the need to have good movement appears to be vital. After an introduction to Rodney Lee and Yoga I now find it easy to touch my toes, can you? My recommendation start slow and build, understand the signals your body gives and back off. Practice will improve your movement as it was for me. Remember just what you could achieve on day one the give it 21 days then look back, if you've been listening to the body signals it will amaze you what you can accomplish.

Equipment

This is a subject this can be expensive or not. While we are renting in France this needs to be no more than we can reasonably get into the car with our other belongings. For is there are just a few item and this could make it inexpensive for anyone to get started.

Lifestyle - if I'm going to Live to be 100 years

I have learnt that working as I did from 8.00 am thought to 6.00 pm was not good for me. My challenge to to find a better way and build some harmony into each area of my life.

February 2020 I complete my first attempt a the Lifebook programme which make you think a lot about the areas of you life that are in credit and those in debt. I slowly worked on my mindset and eventually the decision to take the first steps was made.

The months ahead will be an adventure, find that harmony and an income to deliver the abundance we seek. The Lifebook community and continual learning I'm sure will serve me well.
